Adoptable Ranch Pups
Here at Love This Horse Equine Rescue we spend a lot of time bonding with our horses out on the trails of Mojave, CA. Over the last couple of years, we have come across many dogs abandoned in the desert. As a 501(c)(3) focused on animal rescue, we have slowly began working to help find forever homes for these abandoned dogs.
All our "adoptable ranch pups" are foster dogs -- adoptions are through a local rescues.

We have a 30-day-trial period for each adopted dog, but we always will take our dogs back if needed.
As mentioned above, we want permanent homes for our adopted dogs, thus we want a good match. Adoption fee is between $200-$250, we charge costs incurred for spaying/neuter, microchipping, immunizations.

Available Dogs:
ADOPTED - mollyMolly is a female half-Rottweiler/half-German Shepherd mix. We found her abandoned as a young puppy, with her mom and sister in the desert, in December 2020.
Molly is a big love bug. She gets along with cats, small dogs and big dogs. She loves to cuddle and is always the first one to greet us at the door. Molly is ok with riding in cars (not her favorite activity) and loves to go for walks. She is a obedient dog, beta, and simply loves to please. She is spayed, is microchipped, up to date on her immunizations and worming. She was born around June 2020. Molly weighs 55 pounds. |
kobeKobe has a brother whom we rescued and adopted into a loving home. When we encountered Kobe at the shelter, we had to take him home with us. His brother had been found on a street in the desert and Kobe had been left in the shelter's drop-box without a note.
He is half-Golden Retriever/half-German Shepherd. He was born around January 2021. Kobe is loving and smart. He learns quickly and is already well behaved around the horses and other livestock. Kobe has learned to walk on the leash, but is still pulling at times. He loves to go feed the horses with us. He is learning to be house trained, as smart as he is, that should not take long. He is also learning to like riding in cars. He would do great with an active family and with space to run. Kobe is not done growing yet and weighs 58 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped and is up to date on his immunization and worming. |
babyBaby was abandoned in the desert. We just love Baby! She is half-Pug/half-Chihuahua, but she is tall with her long legs. Baby is sweet, but she has to warm up to people and does not like everyone who crosses her path.
She loves to come with us when we feed the horses and knows how to behave around them. She loves to run around and play in the water when we fill the troughs. She is very athletic and runs fast! At night, she loves to cuddle and snuggle. Baby loves riding in cars and trucks. Baby is born around November 2020. She is spayed and is up to date on her immunization and worming. She is microchipped. Baby weighs 12 pounds. |
